Wayland Stables
Wayland Stables Care Farm is a platform for positively changing lives through calm, purposeful alternative education.
Intro to the farm
Wayland Stables Care Farm is an Alternative Provider for young people with ASD, SEND, and SEMH. We are proud to offer a calm, supportive environment where young people can learn, develop, and thrive through meaningful, hands-on experiences in the outdoors.
Our care farm provides a structured setting that includes equestrian care, small animal care, land-based learning, woodland and outdoor tasks, gardening, and practical workshops. Set within 10 acres of peaceful countryside in Winterbourne, Bristol (BS36 1SB), Wayland Stables demonstrates the powerful role nature and animals can play in supporting young people with mental health challenges, autism, social and communication needs, disabilities, and those who benefit from emotional support and routine.
To meet a wide range of individual needs, we offer flexible placements that support both 1:1 and small group learning, from short-term visits through to longer-term programmes. At Wayland Stables, we focus on wellbeing, confidence, social development, and purposeful work—creating a space where every young person feels safe, valued, and capable.
